I have used these before in the Outlaw II sling pack to carry game cameras and modems to some of the more distant and difficult locations on our land. The Outlaw II provided plenty of space for cables, batteries, loppers, etc. But, frankly, the outlaw II is a nice pack to dedicate to what amounts to one trip out and one trip in a year. I had given the Cipher messenger bag a try as my EDC bag because I was looking for something less tactical that would hold a laptop and a handgun. But, I found the Cipher didn't work for me as the handgun I wanted to carry in the hook and loop attached holster was just too heavy for the Cipher. It is just nowhere near as stout as the Outlaw II. But, with the sentinel, you can have a lighter bag as the sentinel case is well-padded and the dividers can be configured to hold the cameras securely. So, I repurposed the bag and have no doubt about the safety of the cameras.
