"Qui Vive" is French for, who goes there? This term was often used by sentry's who were standing guard so they could determine if the person was friend or foe. This large 40L backpack is the guardian of your gear. With robust 1000D nylon, thick shoulder straps and burly YKK zippers, this rugged backpack is ready to rock. It comes with a large external padded laptop sleeve, tons of pockets, a tactical style organization panel, and a dedicated microfiber pocket for your glasses. It is hydration ready, has a removable sternum strap and has tons of organizational pockets, inside and out. This backpack is perfect for rugged adventures, a quick action go-bag or for our Guardian's.

    Padded Laptop Sleeve
    An external padded laptop sleeve has enough room to easily carry a 15"+ laptop or tablet. The bottom of the laptop sleeve is also padded so you don't have to worry about damaging your laptop if you set the bag down a little too rough. 
    Velcro Strap Keeper
    Loose or hanging straps can get in the way and caught. We have included a strap keeper to help manage this.
    Admin Pocket
    The large front admin pocket has organization for all of your gear. There are two large sleeves, tall pockets with elastic cording and velcro to hold your gear in place, and a large mesh pocket.
    Large Internal Pocket
    The Guardian "Qui Vive" has a large internal pocket that allows you to carry plenty of gear, making this backpack a great option as a go-bag or small but out bag.
    Internal Mesh Pockets
    There are two large mesh pockets inside the main section of the Guardian Backpack. These pockets are great for those large items that you don't want floating around on the inside of your bag.
    Sunglasses Pocket
    We all carry sunglasses and don't want to just toss them anywhere is the pack. They are expensive! The Guardian has a dedicated, microfiber lined pocket just for your glasses.
    Side Organization Pockets
    The Guardian "Qui Vive" Backpack features 4 zippered side pockets (2 on each side). This allows you to refine what you carry and make sure everything is in its right place.
    Large Comfortable Shoulder Straps
    This is a large backpack and when loaded it can become quite heavy. That is why we are using overbuilt shoulder straps and thick airmesh padding. A pack doesn't have to be uncomfortable.
    Removable Sternum Strap
    A removable sternum strap will help keep your shoulder straps together when carrying a heavy load. We know some people don't like them so we made them removable to get them out of your way.

    Great dual purpose backpack

    I am a team leader/medic on a federal search and rescue team I use it for my edc as well as on the trail works great for both. Very comfortable and easily allows me to change my load out as needed.

    Huge and Comfortable

    Great bag with lots of pockets and space. I use it for work so that was very important. It’s also very comfortable and has a hard back so it helps with posture while walking. The chest strap is great for helping to relieve the weight from my shoulders as well.
